Okay after doing some research, here is what I'd do.
First go to your computer's device manager, find your bluetooth device, hit context menu, choose properties and find the advanced tab.
Tabbing in there should show you the manufacturer ID, which will help you find your exact device, since computer makers will often have slightly custom versions of a generic product.
Now you can look up your exact bluetooth module and find out if it supports the "APTX LL" (low latency) codec, by looking for spec sheets and such.
If it does, then you won't need an external adapter, otherwise... go online, to amazon or new egg or bestbuy or what ever, and search for USB bluetooth transmitters (not receivers!) that include the "APTX LL" AKA "APTX Lower Latency" codec. If they don't say it in the product description somewhere, than just look for low latency adapters in general and examine the specs to find it.
Now you can find some headphones (if you don't already have any) that also support that codec.
That should hopefully fix your problem.
