Well, this can be due to many reasons.
I would turn off automatic brightness, set the brightness a bit lower, turn off the screen effects like paralax and the like. Turning off background refresh also might help batterie and data usage.
Why don't you go to the batterie option in the settings and check there what eats up the power.
