Well you could create a map editor sort of like your swamp one. You could use x/y to quickly create a map. Almost like tactical battles map system. You have a map size then you create obstacles and things for the game. To make it even simpller you could just create a form that asks how big the map should be and what sorts of obstacles and turraine you want then once you finish that you could have your editor output to a text file. If you do this you will have working maps in a few minutes or so. It's just a suggestion but it's a lot better then writing out lines and lines of code to create a simple map.
