The problem with this is that you have to be damned careful who you choose to look after things for you. You're saying you want to temporarily hand things off, but most people don't work that way. They will become invested in the process if they choose to do anything with this stuff, and you run the risk of being screwed over. We all know that this community cannot be trusted with code. SO, anything you put out there might as well be lost to you. Also, you work in dropbox? It's very easy to let dropbox folders get out of hand, or you let the wrong people in and viruses start passing through everyone's computers, because someone wanted to be a dick, or they just are irresponsible and it happened accidentally.
Either way, all comes down to the same thing, be careful whom you choose to work with on this, because you will have to be basically trusting this person not to screw you over and take your shit.
