Re: What is the Coolest Experience You've Ever Had

I don't even know where to begin, because I feel very lucky.
Let's separate this post into techy, and real world, experiences.

Techy:
Firstly, without a doubt, Discovering this very website. I've never looked back. I check it every day as part of my routine unless something absolutely crazy is distracting me.
Joint first: getting my own credit card and PayPal account. I absolutely love the fact I am an adult and I can get what I'd like to get, and yes, I've used this to help others as well. I joined in with the Hero's Call gifting train I think it was Nocturnus who asked the rest of the staff at the time if they'd like to contribute, and of course I joined in with that.
Getting invited to Erion's TeamTalk server, and getting to chat to Pitermach via voice. Back then, it was great to finally talk about Light Cars the Heavy Edition, the Star Trek Klango theme and such, and finally say htank you to him for all the work over the years. I'm still part of that server, and in fact, this server's going to factor into a real world story in a minute.
A hybrid experience is discovering Hallmark, getting sad that they didn't ship to the UK, then finding a website that shipped Hallmark stuff to the UK and getting my first parcel was such a fun experience. Hllmark sell noisy Christmas and Halloween ornaments.

real world:

Feel The Force Day. This is an event in Peterborough in the UK, it's a fairly long drive from where I live, but essentially, it lets me meet different characters from all sorts of different franchises. This has lead to all sorts of stuff, including actually getting the chance to meet the one and only forumight known as Dark, in person. Oh, not that he's the one and only forumight ever in existance, I mean look at this topic, we've got several forumights in here including myself. Anyway, it was great chatting to Dark in person about how his day at the event went and also, again, say thank you for everything over the years.
My 2015 trip to Orlando Florida. I got to go to Disney and Universal, and this time, I'd read about all the easter eggs, so I could really appreciate stuff. It was great to see things from an adult lens and appreciate all the subtle audio moments.
My 2016 trip to Texas. As part of this trip, I had the very lucky chance to drive a four by four.
Well, I was so hyped afterwoods that when I went on Teamtalk to tell everyone about my day, who should be there but both Erion and Pitermach, and I'm not kidding when I say that they had to keep on asking me to calm down because I was yelling so much, and it took me a good minute or so until I finally got the message, yeash. No regrets though, at all!
I also got to fire some guns, including an AR15, a Glok and some sort of gun that you could coc, I think it was an actual pistol. I also got to, I think, fire a shotgun as well.
It was unique to say the least.
I got to go to California this year, in August.
There, I got to go to Disneyland for a few days, and I got to experience Star Wars Galaxy's Edge, as part of that. Let me tell you that we spent three hours, in that one area, it was really quite detailed.
Then, on the last day of the Disney part, my Grandad met us there and we took a road trip. Driving down the road, listening to Beach Boys music, actually made me cry.
Then, we arrived in Santa Cruz. There's so many experiences in California that I don't exactly know where to begin.
We got to go to the boardwalk and I got to ride a roller coaster from 1924, the Giant Dipper.
We got to go to San Francisco, and experience Alkatraz. But for me, that wasn't the coolest part.
On a recommendation from fellow forumight SightlessKombat who sometimes comes here, we checked out the Musée Mecanique. This was a place with loads (and I do mean loads) of old style machines from way back when, from the arcade games of the 80's, to going much much further back. My favourite part of this was hearing the self playing instrument machines, self playing pianos and organs and stuff.
In Santa Cruz, they had a Hallmark in person. It was great seeing the new ornaments for this year, at their year of release, in person, and being able to buy them in person as well. You can bet that I ended up spending a lot.
Long may the cool experiences continue!
