If you actually have one that is. Newest PC cases tend to not have front panels not anymore, due to CD/DVD/BD not being that important anymore. Mine for example doesn't have one at all, just the on and off switch, LED/fan control, a few USB connectors and audio jacks, but those just need to be connected on the inside. If you actually have a front panel, it very much depends on the case. I've got a very large one (full MIDI tower with maximum length), if it had a front panel, you'd have enough room to properly reach through and connect it properly without having to fiddle around due to limited space.
