Re: infini crawl, text dungeon crawling rpg similar to the wastes.

Wow, loving the new achievements, though they've sort of made my char into a monster, as I now have over 1000 health.
oddly enough though I died around zone 180 or so, and am not sure why, whether it was poison or what, so this time I prestieged a bit earlier.
Any chance of adding in a why you died, or at least of having the last few lines of the log, since that one I wasn't sure about, and with my newly increased health and stuff I was going to see if I could get to a higher maxed scene.

When you start a new game, it doesn't clear out the event log, so you can reload the event log to read back what happened before. It should give you a good idea. But yeah, I'll look into updating the 'you died' message with something more helpful.

Also, loving the new winter environment, though I'm afraid I've seen a frosty bug or two.
First, the cold effect seems to go on forever and when clicking on health it doesn't tell you how long it's lasting for, whilst when I used a snowball on the enemy, it only seemed to effect them for a round.

The way it works (or should work, I should say) is that each scene adds +1 to your 'freezing' state. The amount of fire gear you have works against freezing. So if you have fire bonus of 10 and 10 freezing, you have effectively 0 freezing.  Once your effective freezing goes above 0 you have a chance to become frozen each turn of combat, preventing you from doing anything for that round. Once your effective freezing goes above your level, you take damage equal to the zone's freezing effect (starts at 1 for low scene numbers and goes up every 50 scenes by 1, and goes up by 1 for each difficulty above easy.

So as you progress through the winter area, you gain a progressive +1 freezing. The longer the zone, the more it will affect you. The snowballs, as you guessed, just freeze them for one turn and deal a small amount of damage based on their level. So if longer snow zones, you'll get frozen a lot toward the end. As a little easter egg type effect, you can throw a fire bomb to totally get rid of your freezing. I had considered adding a campfire item that had a similar effect. Clicking on health should tell you your percent chance to become frozen each attack round, this will go up by 2% each scene. Maybe that is a little aggressive? It maxes out at 50% though.

I can't say about winter based gear as I haven't found any as yet.

Luck of the draw on that one. When you get it, it'll have the same effect on enemies as the freezing zone effect has on you.

Also, obviously it's not just winter wonderland that is very festive, since when exiting a temple, I was told that my character would be glad to get out of the cold big_smile.
Methinks the wrong outtro text was added to the wrong environment there big_smile.

Hmm, not sure how that could happen, I'll look into that.

I particularly like with the achievements how you carry on getting them at lower levels, since there are achievements for things like how many potions drunk, meaning that going through lower scenes isn't a total waste, I also would love to see that bestiary added into the game, since I'm still encountering new creatures, which is awesome.

When I revamp enemies and weapon damage types, I'll add that. It's going to significantly increase the length of the save string though lol.
