If you are into extremely violent, over the top mature shooters and haven't tried Gears 5, it has near full menu narration and as a result Horde mode is pretty playable with the right options (target lock and Fabricator Ping enabled as well as camera shake turned off). If you play on Forge, you'll have a better time in my experience as the lines of sight are easier to work with. You can even use a sniper rifle pretty effectively with enough practice. Playing with bots, whilst not ideal, is a good substitute until you get to know other players who are willing to assist.
