Your quite right, [Corvo Attano] who was the Royal Protector of Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. He plays a silent protagonist in the first Dishonored, but in Dishonored 2 is voiced by the same actor who did Garret in Theif: The Dark Project. The video games have a pretty interesting story to them involving The Void and The Outsider, source of occult powers wielded by Corvo and others.
Besides the main plot, the first Dishonored had 2 story DLC: The Knife of Dunwall and the Brigmore Witches, which introduces a number of other stories and characters found in Dishonored 2 and stars the Assassin Daud.
