1. Listen to Scottish folk music for years.
2. Look up all the words you don't understand.
3. When you've done that for a while, fire up the Youtube and search for Burnistoun. That would be a Glaswegian accent. Here's a taste, for all you Lovecraft fans.

Note that I'm not Scottish, just really interested. I'm PA Dutch, and nobody knows about our accent, well until now because I'm going to share it with you. This guy's playing it up a bit, but he also sounds a lot like my grandfather did. I don't have it nearly this much but as I get older, it pops up, e.g. nau, haus, and so on. Pennsylvania Dutch (Deitsch) is a dialect of German and has nothing to do with The Netherlands, well except I think there are some potentially similar dialects. Limburgish shares rutsch at elast.
