Holy folding batman! People have contributed so much processing power that it now dwarfs even the worlds most powerful super computer, contributing a whopping 1.5 ExaFLOPS (aka 1,500,000,000,000,000,000 floating point operations per second). For perspective, The US Department of Energy, IBM, NASA, and MIT pooled their respective super computers, amounting to 16 of some of the most powerful super computers, for Coronavirus related protein crunching. Taken together that amounts to 330 PetaFLOPS, or 0.33 EoFLOPS of processing power.
