Re: clipping in reaper

First of all, determine if your recording is cliped. A possible method: record anything, select the recorded item, press ctrl plus shift plus k, and check if your item peaks hit 0db. If it is the case, turn the gain volume of your mick down and try again. If you cannot turn it down at all, your only option is repositioning your mick. Depending on the soudñd source you are trying to record, you should adjust the distance from the mick to compensate the undesired extra volume. Each mick has its own limits.
