So, if someone made a page with a link for users to visit and donate, would you tell people to fob it off because you think that it is "a standard multi-level marketing referral scheme, all be it this side of legality"?
If someone was driving a sports car and refilling it more than they would a normal car but were OK with it, would you tell them to sell it for some standard car, because to you that's the norm?
You also said that it would take 5 minutes for someone to research into it.
Therefore, I think it's the person's choice whether they want to do said activity or not.
It's not for someone to barge in and say otherwise because it hasn't worked out for them.
