Ok, so here is how it works.
Every standalone grunt is right.
One chirp followrd by a grunt is up. Two chirps is left. Three chirps is down. If you get a command other than right, you will sometimes have to do a clockwise command sequence until you finish on right. Example: two chirps, grunt, left, brunt, up, vrunt, right. But this happens only sometimes, so you will have to pay attention to the sound to know. Often, a musical sequence will end with down. And that's how you do the bacteria stage.
These instructions are also applicable with rhythm heaven megamix's bacteria stage, but the grunts are more pronounced there.
