I agree the PVP aspect of it can suck, especially if someone who's spending loads of money is buying their way to the top and decides that you should be conquered next.
What I used to like about it was the alliance part. If you have a great team it's far more enjoyable than just grinding it out on your own.
I realised that I needed a distraction from real life issues and the current lockdown so figured I'd pick it back up and see how much I like it.
As for the Android version: I unfortunately don't have an android device, but have you tested it out with the different screenreaders, such as Commentary? It's possible that it may work with one where it's not working with another.
You can always contact the developers and explain exactly what issues you're having with the map. Back when I started playing, Voiceover had bugs and they were very responsive in resolving them.
