@black and white: Honestly I'd just get yourself a dedicated drum-kit software instrument. You'll have greater control that way, and much more meticulous sampling than a straight list of samples that aren't behind an engine. The more technical the instrument, the more the machinegun effect will start to show up (this is especially true of guitar libraries - hell, even the eastwest guitar library suffers from this and it's supposed to be top-tier, yet OrangeTree's engine is much better).
The demo of Addictive Drums comes with a few sample drum-kits that you can use in your pojects. Step recording is a very good option if you want to program the pattern ahead of time.
