Well, is it any better that you acn't leave a voice channel on IOS no matters what you do, and even if you close the app it still says you are in it, and the only way to leave it is to connect from PC and leave from there?
Discord was much better earlier, let's say, 4 or 5 months ago. There were normal, clickable buttons, it was easy to connect anywhere and was easy to see through servers. But it got worse after every update. Who else loves the newly introduced menu from which you can choose the server you wanna chat in, but you can't normally enter this menu because it starts with the first server's unvisited link. Wonderfull, is it? I'm not sure how jaws users could avoid this, because with NVDA browse mode the thing works after a few clicks, but I'm not sure about jaws...
Yes, skype's iOS and android apps are horrible, I know. But is discord any better if it comes to chat or talk? Just take the bug I described above. Sadly it's even worse, with its' cluttered interface, and no, it's not voiceover's mistake, but doscord's.
As I said, our online learning was held on discord. Every day I opened it at least twice, but sometimes I just didn't close it because every time I started the thing, it started to update and after every update it got worse. I usually started the thing 5 minutes before the actual lesson, saying that a program won't load that slowly. Well, my computer is a fast one, it's one of the HP pavilion modells, but poor discord had to upload after each time I started the app, so there were times when I entered exactly at the beginning of the lesson, and not only I was complaining about this updating habit.
And the sound quality. I have a stereo mycrophone. I never thought it would work on discord, but I also never thought it's this kind of bad. I sound like if I was talking from a huge box, and everyone sounded so, my teachers, my classmates, moreover, they sounded even worse, sadly. A teacher of mine had so a bad sound quality that there were a lot of parts of her speech I couldn't hear, and 20 minutes of the lesson was me asking back. And then we switched to messenger, which wasn't any better, but at least we didn't encounter that weird sound problem and I could hear her normally. One of my teachers kept cracking, even if IT guys repaired her mycrophone like 3 times, and she sounded much better if she made us a recording using the same mycrophone. Skype isn't any better, moreover, it's worse, but discord could be much better if it's so hiped.
