#8 you have samsung apps store from where you can install apps, there's also possibility to install external apps called widgets, but it is not supported by samsung, for more about hacking your samsung tv visit:

And find something fo your model, but it is risky, cause it can void your varranty.
#9 If your tv has 3 years, there's no chance to get any new update, cause it's unsupported.
Some of accessible apps in smarthub are youtube and internet browser, you can do everything in them.
There was also netflix, but it's accessibility has been destroyed in the last update.
