There was a pay to win text mmorpg from the same people who did titan conquest featuring tanks, but again, very much pay to win and lacking in text.
your best bets are trying to find a way to pay for either Gma Tank commander, or Tank battle on Ios, since both are well worth a play.
Gma Tank commander is an adventure/shooter featuring a tank, arcade style first person shooter combat and missions, whilst Tank battle is a wonderfully tactical, very addictive arcade game with need for both a slow hand and good calculation skills, I'd highly recommend both.
