Keep in mind that all the accessibility work was done before Covid.
naughty Dog made a very intelligent decision by including accessibility as an integral part of their engine instead of doing what every company (EA, Microsoft, ETC) as done which is add it on top of an already existing system.
We'll never know what EA's reasoning or lack of reasoning was until someone over there speaks up. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that people who were assigned to accessibility were reassigned to oher parts of the game.
I've got my sights set on next year, so. here's hoping.
