Re: Ubuntu mate 20.04 installation problems.
Hello,
@1: after you boot from the CD, there are two options:
* Start a live session
* Install Ubuntu
If I remember right, the second option was focused, so pressing space or return key has launched the installation.
A bigger problem though was the Mate's problem of randomly starting inaccessible. It is a problem, when after starting a session, no interfaces of the operating system are accessible to Orca.
I have a suspicion that the same bug happens even with the installer, as I have installed mate about 3 times from the same iso and i clearly remember, that one time it was fully accessible and I didn't need sighted help at all, but another time the installer didn't say anything and sighted assistance was required.
Try to reboot few times, sometimes this problem resolves after the first reboot, but there were cases when I needed to do it 3 or 4 times.
Also, you can try to launch Orca settings with insert+space if you feel stuck in a window. It won't help with the bug mentioned above, but sometimes especially in cases like this, it may be helpful to have a better look on windows layout, plus you can configure the screenreader to your liking and use flat review, i don't remember now, whether it was necessary or not.
Best regards
Rastislav
