Yes, it's pathetic and yes, it's a blatant cry for attention, but you guys trying to argue with him must realize that he's using this nonchalant attitude specifically because he knows just how effective it is at pissing people off right?
Who knows if he even actually contacted Nintendo for sure, or if he's just playing a little mind game to fill the void. Either way you can't say anything that will make him feel worse than he already does... Best to just ignore him and see what happens, since he's already supposedly gone and done the deed, there is no point trying to talk him out of it.
