Well, just as I predicted in 91, Trump's making out the virus is absolutely no worse than a cold. Oh, and it's the same as the flu; get a shot, move on with your life. The end.
And for many, it will be the end, sadly. What the blazes is it going to take! He told us this thing would weaken by April! It has not! He said it would be temporary! It's not! He said the number of suicides would be greater than the number of people dying of covid if the economy were in any semblance of shutdown! They're not! He has repeatedly claimed the numbers are going down! They're not! At a press briefing with his coronavirus task force, he said the FDA had approved the antimalarial drug chloroquine to treat COVID-19. They have not! He's gone from claiming this was a hoax, to calling it a pandemic and quote unquote, "viewing it as very serious," to now saying it's just a walk in the park because you can go get treated at a hospital just like he was. Guess what? If you're the average American citizen or anything less than that? You, most certainly, cannot!
And those are just blatant disregards about a huge issue! Just one issue that people are facing on a global level! He goes much further! He claims America is experiencing an economic boom because of him! It is not! He ficticiously claims guns minimize mass shootings; what a joke! They obviously do not! He claimed he won the popular vote on top of the Electoral College. He did not! He stated that if you have windmills anywhere near your house you run a higher risk of cancer owing to the very noise of such apparatuses! You do not! He claims he signed Veteran's choice into existence! He did not! He dangerously and incensitively claimed Ilhan Omar is an islamic terrorist who praises the works of al Qaeda and was celebrating the 9-11 attacks on US soil. She is not, does not, and has not!
That we would stand for blatant lies over some semblance of transparency is just beyond me, but this is what the US has become. A guy can lie about anything and everything so long as he's inherited money and business from his father, partied it up with the Russians, made it big in TV, massively benefited from loopholes in the tax system while others suffer, overstated his numbers for his own personal gains in some circumstances while understating them in others, trying to take credit for things other people have done, and calling people who have served in the military he is supposed to be top overseaer/chief commander of, losers and suckers!
