Re: academics, what is your reference management workflow?

I use EndNote. It's not free, but we get to use it for free through my university. It does have its issues. For example, manually adding/editing information for a reference in the application is pretty inaccessible. Fortunately it has a format that it can import, so I just create a text file with all the information in the format that it wants and then import it. It's rarely necessary to do this manually though, you can mostly just grab the EndNote citations for papers from google scholar.
