I'm running into really weird problems.
The math used for the game seems to not follow any principals of math I've ever seen.
The enemies shields are recharged by
4% of 1000, which is 62 points.
4% of 1000 is 40, not 62.
Similar things happen to minefields and asteroids. An asteroid will deal 80 to 90 damage to an enemy ship, which at 70% shielding, will destroy the ship entirely. I know that an asteroid is entirely different than a focused burst of energy, but still. I'm using an upgrade to a destroyer's laser which according to the description has an accuracy of 5% less than the default, but yet this seems to hit more than the default. I'm wondering if there is some kind of upgrade to the enemy ship not being mentioned in the descriptions.
Also sometimes in combat a missile will just disappear for no reason, or the ECM may not be reporting the interception. Has anyone else experienced similar problems?
