The cheapest and most long-lasting set of headphones I ever bought were the HyperX Cloud 2. They have an external mic, solid build quality, removable earcups, good sound, and cost about ninety bucks. I got them back in...what, 2015 or so I think? they still work, although not as well as they once did thanks to a wire mishap. Still, they were my go-to till I got the ones currently sitting on my head.
I agree that if you buy dirt cheap, you'll get bad build quality, but I think you can buy cheaper (like under a hundred bucks, say) and still get good value.
