Re: Updating My Python Guides

To enable indent reporting
Method 1
go to JAWS settings center (JAWS Key plus 6) and either set it for the current application only or use control shift D to make it system wide.
Hit shift tab and Type "indent" into the search box.  The only option which comes up is the one you want.
Method 2
When within the window of your editor, use JAWS Key plus V, shift tab and type "indent" again, then set the option to indicate.

You may also want to go into the settings center search box and type "speech and sound" for the speech and sounds category.  There you can change the default scheme by pressing space until it matches the number of spaces that your code editor considers to be a tab if it doesn't seem to be reporting properly.

To change how and when symbols are pronounced, go to settings center and search for customize punctuation.  There you can make it so that a symbol will only be announced at a certain punctuation level (for instance most) or will be said differently.
Unfortunately you can only do this system wide and not for individual applications, but you can set each application to it's own punctuation level at least, either with settings center or quick settings, or you can change it on the fly with JAWS Key plus Shift plus 2.

So for instance, you could have left and right bracket only be announced at punctuation level most, then use punctuation level some for regular reading and most only for your code editor.
The amount of symbols available to be changed is also seriously limited compared to NVDA unfortunately, which is sorta weird if you think about it.

As for navigating in command line, I don't have any issues with just the normal pc cursor, so maybe I'm just not understanding the problem?
