By default, there is no exit as such. You can either break one of the walls at the edges, or simply choose an arbitrary empty cell and mark that as the exit. If you generate the maze in the compact format, every tile is walkable but the passages to and from that tile are not always open. So your approach depends on whether you are generating a blockwise or a compact maze. Let me know if this makes sense; I'd be glad to try to explain further if you have questions.
