I figured there was some other reason that you weren't doing one. That'll work unless your game needs really complex and manually determined arguments, but these do come with the caveat that if you get into a crash loop it's going to try to restart it forever and you'll need to kill the script itself instead of just the game. That will allow for normal exits, so implementing a shutdown command/action will work.

At the top. This is very common Linux knowledge and is a big part of why you can do stuff like use .py files as commands and stuff like that, and the answer doesn't seem to have it.
