Well grim and violent this sounds like my kind of story rofl. I just started a game of thrones where eddard stark got his head cut off and the night's watch people were attacked by the wildlings. Really weird and violent way to start a story. I might give the tv series another try it's just the one time I watched it there was about 5 minutes of some characters having sex then somebody else got into a sword fight and I didn't think the story was going anywhere. But I like the books and martin's writing a lot so far.
