Re: DeathMatch, a new beginning

So guys, I wanted to ask for your help with this specific system, that of the derelict salvage mission. Currently, the game picks a random designed derelict, its possible for users to design their own derelicts via text file and send them to me. Currently it has a custom set of items, but i'm having trouble deciding the following. What should we explore derelicts for. Should the artifacts you find get transfered and sold for credits, or should you be able to keep sirten items, like for exampple if you find a fusion cutter like the one seen in dmpa, should you be able to keep it. I've already balanced this system out to the point where derelicts are extremely far out into deep space. More importently, what should happen to the derelicts once you've salvaged what you could from the drifting hulk. Should the derelict begin a self-destruct and give you x amount of time to flee, then reward you after you've escaped it. Oh, also, one more thing. An update on the ache avements system, i've coded in a new system which allows me to manage acheavements better, so you might be seeing acheavements springing up on the game. Missions already have acheavements, at least the colony supply one. And yes, i've modifyed the cargo system for true deep space non landable cargo freighters, like the arcturion mega freighters in hichikers guide to the galaxy, so if you really feel the need to once the update comes out, you can be kind to colonys by giving them a helping hand.
