Re: City Building browser games
I need to try kapi-regnum, sinse a city building game with no pvp (or at least I believe it doesn't have any pvp), is quite unusual sinse usually they're all about alliances raiding and smashing your enemy and such, rather than just about building your city and your population through disasters.
Another thing I always find with the browser games is that they're always of the minimax style, you set stuff going or have certain amounts of production buildings and they just work away, there's no actual on the spot management through disasters or having to think of your people as anymore than machines, indeed this was one reason I thought dark room was so clever by suddenly transforming your villager population into slaves, something which apparently shocked a lot of people and caused some to stop playing, but those sort of games really do encourage that sort of thinking, which likely also says something very worrying about people who make economic or social decisions about large numbers of people in the real world.
