I think being locked out is a bad idea as well, let's use another example.
Let's say you wake up, check your audiogames forum postings, and you suddenly leap with excitement at the following topic:
Announcing the release of Bokurano Daiboukenn Trilogy: English Edition!
You then go into the topic, baring in mind that these games use the clipboard or use screen reader options. Your heart then sinks because you are a jaws user, or super nova, or window eyes, but the program will only run if an NVDA addon is installed, and running. Yes, NVDA is free. but that would mean you'd have to learn to use a whole new program and system just to play the game. I really don't think that would be fair at all, and this statement is coming from an NVDA full time user. OK, we use instnat translate and such because we are used to it, but I'm not talkinga bout that. I'm talking about launching the app only for it to say you must have NVDA to cont
inue. Now that would be very very unfair.
