Sure, the thing is, there are NINE power supplies in the system, depending on how you count. My comment in the other thread was just that changing out the wall-wart isn't a big win. There are internal linear regulators for the output stage that one could swap out that might have a bigger impact. If you want to improve something, but don't want to hot-rod the internals, then changing the external PS is the thing to do.
