I love my Benchmark DAC-1, I've got a SB1g. Depending on budget, things like Larvy Engineering 44-96 Blue Series is also in the range, it is about $1400. Lucid DA9624 is under a grand. And of course, there are things like CraneSong Spider and other mega buck professional studio gear. You should make sure that the retailer will let you return the gear, at these prices, and given that the SB2 is not bad, I wouldn't want to gamble. -- Pat http://www.pfarrell.com/music/slimserver/slimsoftware.html _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
