It looks like lifting the clock circuit has one positive benefit of reducing already low jitter readings from ~65 ps to ~55 ps. I am amazed to read how low the stock SB readings are; this is 1/3rd of the lowest reading I've heard about for typical digital playback gear.
Negatives seem to center on the potential for removing the ability to decode certain Internet radio stations, which use 32KHz sample rate. Does the clock resample these to 48KHz? Question: Will this impact all radio stations, or just those that stream using a 32 khz rate? -- davehg ------------------------------------------------------------------------ davehg's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2269 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18452 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
