Sorry to resurect this topic, but there was never a specific answer
concerning the availability of a fixed gain offset for replay_gain
values in flac files played by the native flac decoder in SQB2 or 3 and
slimserver 6.2.1.

I recall seeing a fixed offset applied in a prior version of
slimserver. I can't remember the specific version, but right after
replay gain was introduced, the values reported by the SQB for volume
adjustment were like +5 and higher DB. The values from all of my flac
files are targeted to standard radio gain, and the SQB is now reporting
unadjusted values like -12 and lower DB. This is too large a volume
adjustement for my systems without cranking up my amplifiers. As I
understand from reading some discussions on this forum, large volume
adjustments downward also result in degraded quality.

I've installed pre amps in some cases, but I really need the ability to
control the fixed gain adjustement (volume adjustment). Does anyone have
any details on how to apply a fixed volume adjustment to replay gain
values in slimserver 6.2.1?
