Being able to easily change things isn't necessarily a good thing in a mature product. Don't get me wrong, I like the product otherwise I wouldn't have bought it, but I think a new generation of server is required. All software has a lifespan, it's not a comment on the quality of the old code base, just recognition that requirements, operating environment and markets change and sometimes the original design concepts become an impediment to necessary changes. Sure 6.5 may add threads, but how much effort is being expended on that? How stable is the code base afterwards? I'm guessing that we'll have quite a few months of instability. -- CardinalFang ------------------------------------------------------------------------ CardinalFang's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=962 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=18991 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
