cvj,
Wayne at the Bolder cable company told me to try this one which might
be the same unit (Wayne didn't forget to tell me that his supply is
better) .

Mfg. # - 7202C-3
5-13/16" x 2-1/2" x 2-7/8"
Input: 117 VAC, 60 Hz
Output: 5 VDC @ 1.5 amp
I tried it and I did hear improvement. It gave more depth, clarity
and smoothness. But if you have a space to for it, I would suggest
you to get an linear PS and put it in a enclosure of your choice.
David (Heuer) has done nice postings about his external linear PS
recently. You should look that up.
I have tried my own yesterday and the effect is bigger than the
adopter type.

In the meantime I have a question. Scott Faller's review of the SB3:

includes the following tweak:

Before I go in depth about how the SB3 sounds, there are a couple of
things that you will want to know first regarding the stock unit.
First, the stock switching power supply is woefully inadequate for the
critical listening that we audiophiles do. Fortunately, a cheap easy
substitution of a $7, 5 Volt 1.5 Amp (regulated) wall wart brings a
significant gain in resolution

Any comments from users on this inexpensive "tweak"?
