I would have to slightly disagree with that, Konut. 

The 'other' school loses the brickwall filter and sometimes loses the
oversampling as well- which is far from 'massaging'.

Moreso than flavor, it's said to enhance PRAT.

It's not the ideal solution, but for a squeezebox that's geared to
44.1khz data it seems to be.
