I've been trying to do just that, in hi-fi and computer shops, with only limited success so far (not that there are many shops here!) I think I've convinced a few employees, who may get something set up in their own homes, and then carry it on.... I should have had some little cards with slimdevices.com printed on them, for as many times as I've scribbled it on a stickynote! I'd like to see greater dealer interest to make it easier to obtain all the other bits you want for an economical (but quality!) whole-home audio system, eg. small amps, active speakers, etc. for 'secondary' rooms, even cheap server h/w (I'm having a hard time finding an old laptop, so I can free up the other one!) Part of the problem is the current dealers I've talked to (here in Canada) don't seem to have caught on to 'cross-selling' and can't compete with your 'direct' pricing, so their lack of success isn't helping things any. I'm hoping that as more units get out there, and word-of-mouth demand increases, the dealers will realize the power of cross-selling the whole-home solution. Hmmm, wonder if its time for me to make a career change..... Which reminds me, I think the suggestion of a 'system pictures' page is a great idea, as I think people are frequently looking for the best way to implement SB in the next room!
