Since a few have asked, my equipment downstream comprises of the
following:

PS Audio GCC-100 Control Amplifier
Paradigm Signature S2 Speakers
Benchmark DAC-1 using the balanced outputs
Sony SCD C2000es SACD/CD Player
Interconnects: RCA-Van den Hul D-102 Mark III, Balanced-PS Audio
Statements, Digital Coax-DH Labs, Digital Optical-DH Labs
Speaker Cable: DH Labs Q10
Room Treatments: 2 Bass Traps and 4 Acoustic Panels, both home made.
Coming Soon - HSU VTF-2 MK 2 Subwoofer

Thanks for the rapid responses. I definitely agree, the output levels
should ideally be measured by instrument so that the they are
identical. I will try what Sean suggested with the volt meter and the
variable gain on the Benchmark and also get a few audio friends
together to get their opinion in addition to my own. I will try for a
double blind as well...does any know how many double blind A/B test you
have to do to make it statistically significant...I believe it is
something like 16?
