I have the standard version, with non-bypassed volume. (I just turn the
volume to max.) I use an old but decent Rotel preamp for source
selection and volume. I have one fork of each spade in each of the tiny
speaker wire holders! (I need to do something about that..)

I'm amazed too about the Krell! OK, the Krell plays louder and deeper,
but my small speakers in my second system can't take much deep base
anyway. I haven't really A/B'd at all though. First I was chocked about
the sound quality, and now I'm just happy with the T-Amp! I get a
positive surprise every time I turn it on! And I haven't even got a
decent power supply -just a small wall-wart that I had laying around.
