The power one 5-3 has adjustable dc out of +-5%. There's a little pot for adjusting it. That particular model also has overvoltage protection pre-installed and set to 6.4v, for more peace of mind. You'll want to measure at your barrel connector, to make sure you have it wired right, and to account for loss in your cable. + is the center of the connector, so stick the red probe in there and the black to the sleeve, and make sure it's not -5v. The 5-3 has an optional feature for remote sensing of the load, but I haven't researched using it. Best of luck.
