Yes, they are so inexpensive you can try one, and use it if you like. You can pick them up at any Guitar Center or on ebay or zillions of places. One warning, any EQ that mortals can afford will change the phase of the signal at some or many frequencies. Sometimes this is fine, sometimes some folks don't like it.
