Evidence is in the eye of the beholder.  One person's evidence is
another person's hype.  What sources do YOU trust?  I trust those that
seem to have no commerical gain from their recommendations.  EAC is a
free product. iTunes, while also free, is really intended to encourage
you to purchase from the online iTunes rather than making perfect
copies of your CDs.  If you trust online sources such as
http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/ then I suggest you look there for further
evidence of EAC's abilities to create perfect cd rips.  I don't have the
time or inclination to search for the evidence you seem to require to
convince you.
