Recording LP in top quality demands very good equipment, and setting things up properly. (LP equipment include: Turntable, pickup-arm, pickup, phono amplifier.) Recording is done in real-time. Some of the dust and scratches that one might accept when listening to LP "live" might be deemed unacceptable when transferred to CD, so post-processing of any major pops might be necessary. Today, given the major effort involved, I would try to record to better-than-CD quality (24 bit, 96kHz at least). -- P Floding ------------------------------------------------------------------------ P Floding's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2932 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21836 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
