Prat is a 'flat earth'[1] term used to describe music sounding like
music, not hifi. I believe the way the amp 'controls' the driver
contributes to PRAT. I find the representation of bass lines through my
EL84 PP UL amp to exhibit decent prat compared to receivers, but I've
never heard a Naim system. When I went to the SB as source, I got an
improvement in PRAT. I realized there were sub-rhythms at some points
in songs I'd never noticed. Nos dac's are also said to exhibit better
prat...

I hate when audiophiles say 'so and so amp/cd player *really* got my
foot tapping', because I find it impossible to truly listen without
being completely still.
