There are just so many things iffy about the Zhaolu, from the high dc offset (running the risk of blowing up my headphones) to the $75 => $230 markup pricing by Lawrence, to the fake dummy clock upgrade, to the $50 opamp upgrade (for an opamp which costs $4). Regardless, I will be getting a Zhaolu in the mail soon to review against. There is much hype regarding the Zhaolu on Head-Fi, and the 'big review' seems to be.. biased to say the least. I haven't tried the Derek Shek NOS DAC.
