I specifically singled out the Naim preamp as probably the weak link.
Which other parts of my transfer system do you feel are preventing the
differences coming through?:
record cleaning machine: Moth RCM mk 2
turntable: Linn LP12/Lingo/Ittok/Karma
soundcard: M-Audio AP2496
playback: FLAC to SB2 into ATC SCM100A monitors

My apologies. I should have said that it can cature "everything of
significance". I am fully aware that some LPs contain some kind of
signal above 22kHz; I am also of the firm belief that most, if not all,
of it is distortion and noise. I also know for a fact that I can't hear
it (my hearing tops out at around 18kHz).
