I specifically singled out the Naim preamp as probably the weak link. Which other parts of my transfer system do you feel are preventing the differences coming through?: record cleaning machine: Moth RCM mk 2 turntable: Linn LP12/Lingo/Ittok/Karma soundcard: M-Audio AP2496 playback: FLAC to SB2 into ATC SCM100A monitors

I should have said that it can cature "everything of significance". I am fully aware that some LPs contain some kind of signal above 22kHz; I am also of the firm belief that most, if not all, of it is distortion and noise. I also know for a fact that I can't hear it (my hearing tops out at around 18kHz). -- cliveb ------------------------------------------------------------------------ cliveb's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=348 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21836 _______________________________________________ audiophiles mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/audiophiles
